Angelika Beutel has over 30 years of experience riding, training, and competing in equestrian sports. Her programs balance challenges with leisure, consistently producing horses and riders who are happy, confident, and well-rounded. Angelika specializes in three-day-eventing, dressage, and show jumping.
Originally from Munich, Germany, Angelika began riding at age seven, and grew up competing in dressage, show jumping, and vaulting. In 2001, Angelika earned her FN Silver medal, a national test combining 1.20m show jumping and 3rd level dressage. She has also earned her USDF Silver and Bronze medals at 3rd level dressage. Angelika completed her instructor/trainer certification at the Hanoverian Riding School in Verden, Germany in 2003. She then moved to the United States to pursue a college degree. Angelika earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado while building Summit Equestrian from the ground up. She has trained with an impressive line-up of accomplished riders throughout Germany and the U.S., including Karen O’Connor, Lainey Ashker, Brian Sabo, John Williams, Christoph Hess, and Eric Smiley, to name a few.
Today, Angelika has coached and competed through 4th level dressage and the FEI CIC** level in three-day-eventing. In 2021, Angelika purchased her dream farm, Four Seasons Farm in Madison, Georgia, where Summit Equestrian currently operates.
Also in recent years, Angelika joined forces with world-renowned vaulter Christoph Lensing. With Christoph on board, Summit Equestrian now also trains and sells vaulting horses and teaches vaulting lessons. Both originally from Germany, Angelika and Christoph enjoy locating and importing European warmbloods, handling all logistics for clients in the intimidating (yet rewarding) process of finding and importing horses from overseas.
Angelika’s lesson and training programs are characterized by horses and riders who safely push the limits of their talents and athleticism while building happy, healthy relationships. From pony clubbers on sport ponies to adult amateurs on off-the-track Thoroughbreds, and even seasoned competitors pushing the limits on imported European Warmbloods, Angelika’s clientele spans a variety of shapes, sizes, interests, and goals. But her passion for developing fulfilling, successful horse and rider partnerships remains steadfast.
